Lead Nitrate, also known as Lead (2+) Nitrate, Lead dinitrate, Lead (II) Nitrate, and Plumbous nitrate, has the chemical formula Pb(NO₃)₂. It appears as a white or colorless crystalline powder with no odor and is soluble in Water and methanol at ambient conditions. When heated to decomposition, it emits toxic fumes of Lead and Nitrogen Oxides. Purified Grade, also known as Pure or Practical Grade, refers to those high-purity compounds that do not fulfill the ACS, the USP, or the FCC grade requirements. They are mostly used in conjunction with lab-grade chemicals.
